National Chocolate Covered Anything Day

For Day 5 of our 12 Days of Holiday Cheer, we are featuring chocolate covered marshmallows in honor of National Chocolate Covered Anything day!

This recipe is quick and tastes delicious!

All you need is:

  • Marshmallows
  • Melted Chocolate
  • Crushed peppermints

To Make:

All you need to do is melt chocolate and crush peppermint candies up. Take the marshmallows and individually dip into the chocolate and then into the crushed candies.

Place on platter and let freeze. Once harden, take them out to serve and enjoy!

Last Minute Party Checklist

On the day of your party, your pre-party planning should be all but finished – it’s time to relax and patiently wait for your guests to arrive! You should be stress free at this point, provided you followed the tips from our previous blog post (Reducing Pre-Party Stress).

However, we know that life can get busy no matter how much you plan ahead, and sometimes the day of your party can creep up on you.  So for everyone working down to the wire, here are a few things to make sure you check off the list before your doorbell rings:

  1. Finish any last minute cooking and/or errands, well before the party starts. There won’t be time to run out to the store later on!
  2. Make sure your table is set ahead of time. This will help ensure that there are enough plates, napkins, cutlery and cups to go around.
  3. Confirm that you have enough chairs for each guest – everyone should be able to sit comfortably!
  4. Have your playlist ready to “rock and roll” for when your guests arrive!
  5. Make sure you are dressed and ready at least 20-25 minutes prior to when the party starts. There are always a few guests who arrive earlier than expected.
  6. You’ve worked hard – remember to relax and enjoy the party!

Candy Corn Shooters!

Nothing says Halloween like Candy Corn!  Here is a festive treat perfect for everyone!

Ingredients:
Yellow Gelatin
Orange Gelatin
Whipped Cream
Candy Corn

Mozaik Products:
Mini Dessert Set

1. Line up the Mozaik® Mini Tasting Cups
2. Take yellow gelatin and pour the first layer into each cup.
3. Place the cup in the fridge for 30-45 minutes.
4. Remove the cups from the fridge and pour the second layer of orange gelatin on top.
5.  Place cups back in the fridge for another 30 minutes
6. Take them out and add whip cream and a candy corn on top!

Serve and Enjoy!

For Adults: Add a liquor of your choice to the gelatin for more fun!

DIY Ghost Bowls

Halloween is all about costumes, scary movies and eating lots of candy! Hosting a Halloween party is a great way to incorporate all of it while having fun with friends and family!

Since all of your guests will arrive in costume, why not have your Mozaik® white square bowls in costume too! Here is a fun DIY craft to help add some “spook” to the bowls!

Here is what you’ll need:

On each bowl draw eyes, a nose and a mouth! Use the different sizes of the bowls to judge the sizes of the faces.
