Last Minute Party Checklist

On the day of your party, your pre-party planning should be all but finished – it’s time to relax and patiently wait for your guests to arrive! You should be stress free at this point, provided you followed the tips from our previous blog post (Reducing Pre-Party Stress).

However, we know that life can get busy no matter how much you plan ahead, and sometimes the day of your party can creep up on you.  So for everyone working down to the wire, here are a few things to make sure you check off the list before your doorbell rings:

  1. Finish any last minute cooking and/or errands, well before the party starts. There won’t be time to run out to the store later on!
  2. Make sure your table is set ahead of time. This will help ensure that there are enough plates, napkins, cutlery and cups to go around.
  3. Confirm that you have enough chairs for each guest – everyone should be able to sit comfortably!
  4. Have your playlist ready to “rock and roll” for when your guests arrive!
  5. Make sure you are dressed and ready at least 20-25 minutes prior to when the party starts. There are always a few guests who arrive earlier than expected.
  6. You’ve worked hard – remember to relax and enjoy the party!

“Turkey” Cheese Platter

There is more than one way to bring a Turkey to your table this Thanksgiving.  This fun and tasty charcuterie and cheese appetizer is something that is sure to get “gobbled” up by your guests!

Ingredients:
Pepperoni
Salami
Cheddar Cheese slices
Provolone Cheese slices
Oval Shaped Crackers

Balsamic Glaze
Bread

Mozaik Products:
White Square Platter
Tongs

Using a flower shaped cookie cutter, cut the Cheddar and Provolone cheeses. These cheese slices will be your “feathers”.

Starting from the end of the platter, lay down a row of cheddar cheese, followed by a row of pepperoni. Behind the pepperoni, place a row of oval crackers, followed by a row of provolone cheese, and finally a row of salami.  Continue alternating meats and cheeses until the tray is full.

To create the head, you’ll need a small circular piece of bread. Cut a piece of cheddar cheese into a small triangle to form a beak. Cut a piece of pepperoni to add to the corner of the nose to use as the wattle. Create eyes using small circles of provolone cheese and a dab of balsamic glaze!

DIY Ghost Bowls

Halloween is all about costumes, scary movies and eating lots of candy! Hosting a Halloween party is a great way to incorporate all of it while having fun with friends and family!

Since all of your guests will arrive in costume, why not have your Mozaik® white square bowls in costume too! Here is a fun DIY craft to help add some “spook” to the bowls!

Here is what you’ll need:

On each bowl draw eyes, a nose and a mouth! Use the different sizes of the bowls to judge the sizes of the faces.

Pile them high with your favorite snacks and enjoy spooky bowls of sweets and treats!

Versatile Stemless Wine Glass

If you thought there was only one way to use Mozaik Stemless Wine Glasses – think again! Believe it or not, a stemless wine glass can wear many hats! Here are a few ways you can use our glasses:

Wine
Let’s start with the obvious – wine of course! Use the stemless wine glass to pair a glass of red with a nice steak or a glass of white with a light fish. Whichever you prefer, make sure that you sit back, sip and relax!

Desserts
You may not always be in the mood for wine, but everyone makes room for dessert! Use the glasses to make fun individual sized treats for you and your guests. You can showcase all of the ingredients in layers, and you won’t have to worry about messy serving cuts!

Centerpieces
Stemless Wine Glass can be used as a beautiful center piece on your table. Decorate the glass as shown in the picture above, by tying a ribbon around it and filling the glass with your favorite flowers. We recommend using marbles in the bottom to keep the flowers in place. Try using colorful flowers to brighten your table!
